The Ashburn-Turner County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that a piece of original artwork highlighting scenes from Turner County now hangs in the office of Georgia State Representative Angie O’Steen (District 169) at the Georgia State Capitol.
The painting, created by local artist Chrisy Taylor of Chrisy Taylor Creations, was originally donated to the Chamber’s Annual Membership Banquet in January 2025. Featuring iconic images from throughout Turner County, the painting was purchased at the event by Representative O'Steen, a lifelong advocate for rural Georgia.
“Having this artwork displayed in my office is more than just decor,” said Rep. O’Steen. “It’s a daily reminder of the values, people, and communities I represent. Turner County, like many rural counties, is the heart of Georgia—and I want it top of mind in every decision I make.”
This gesture represents a meaningful connection between rural South Georgia and the state’s legislative hub in Atlanta, reinforcing the Chamber’s mission of ensuring Turner County remains visible and valued at the highest levels of government.
