Hit'em with that FLEX!

FLEX — Foundational Leadership & Entrepreneur X-perienceBuilding Turner County’s Next Generation of EntrepreneursThe Foundational Leadership & Entrepreneur X-perience (FLEX) is a youth entrepreneurship program that gives high school students the opportunity to turn their ideas into real businesses.
Through a partnership between the Ashburn-Turner County Chamber of Commerce, Turner County Development Authority, Turner County Schools, and community partners, FLEX connects students with local business leaders, mentors, and resources while challenging them to develop the skills needed to take an idea from concept to competition.
FLEX is more than a business-plan competition. It gives students hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, leadership, communication, financial literacy, marketing, problem-solving, and public speaking.
How FLEX WorksThroughout the program, participating students develop and refine their own business concepts. With support from educators, business professionals, and community mentors, students learn how to identify a market need, understand their customers, develop a product or service, establish pricing, create a marketing strategy, understand business finances, and confidently pitch their ideas.
The program culminates in the Turner County FLEX Finals, where student entrepreneurs present their businesses before a panel of judges and compete for cash prizes.
Local winners also have the opportunity to advance and represent Turner County at the Georgia FLEX State Finals, competing alongside young entrepreneurs from communities across the state.
2025–2026 Turner County FLEX WinnersTurner County's 2025–2026 FLEX competition showcased the creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial spirit of our local students.

We are grateful to the businesses, organizations, educators, mentors, judges, and sponsors who invest in these students and help make FLEX possible.
Why FLEX MattersEntrepreneurship is about much more than starting a business. It teaches young people to recognize opportunities, solve problems, communicate effectively, manage resources, take initiative, and turn ideas into action.
Those are skills students can carry into college, the workforce, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles throughout their lives.
For Turner County, FLEX is also an investment in our future. By introducing students to entrepreneurship and connecting them with the local business community, we are helping develop a new generation of leaders who understand that they can build, create, and succeed right here in Turner County.
Get InvolvedFLEX succeeds because our community gets involved.
Local businesses and community members can support the program by serving as mentors or judges, sharing professional expertise, sponsoring student awards and program expenses, or simply encouraging our young entrepreneurs.
Whether a FLEX student becomes a small-business owner, enters the workforce, attends college, or pursues another path, our goal is the same: give Turner County students the confidence, knowledge, and connections they need to turn their ideas into opportunities.
